Kingswinford Manor and Parish – Ordering files

Rather than simply making the book available for direct download, I am asking that those who wish to have a copy should contact me by email to make suitable arrangements. My reasons for doing this are twofold. Firstly I would like to keep a record of who copies have been sent to, so that when the inevitable mistakes / typos in the book become apparent, I can send around updated versions. Secondly, I would like to have contact details of those who are interested in the subject matter of the book, so that I can inform them of new blog posts / web site updates etc. Indeed it would be good if this web site could become a discussion forum for the various subjects and periods covered in the book. Contact details will be used for no other purpose and will not be passed on to any other person or organisation.

So, if you would like a free copy of “Kingswinford Manor and Parish”, please email me at

c.j.baker@bham.ac.uk

and indicate which of the following you would like.

  • A colour PDF with 340 pages in Royal format, with a nominal page size of 155 x 235mm, which is comfortable to read on tablets and PCs.
  • A black and white PDF with 187 pages in A4 format that can be used to obtain a hardcopy version either by home printing or through commercial printer.
  • A colour PDF with 187 pages in A4 format that can be used to obtain a hardcopy version either by home printing or through commercial printer.
  • The transcripts of the Ashwood Hay and Pensnett Chase Enclosures and the 1822 and 1840 Fowler maps – an EXCEL file of the transcripts and a small PDF file giving some further information.

The PDF files are around 8MB each. If you would have difficulties in receiving files of this size, please include this in the email and I will make alternative arrangements for file transfer.

Note that an A4 black and white hardcopy has been deposited in Dudley Archives and can be consulted there is required.
