In historical terms, I have mainly concentrated on four areas. The first is the western edge of the Black Country in particular the old Kingswinford Parish that encompassed the modern areas of Kingswinford, Pensnett, Brockmoor, Brierley Hill and Quarry Bank. The second is the city of Lichfield and in particular St. Michaelโs church. The third is the County of Rutland, its county town Oakham and All Saints church in Oakham. The fourth is the work of the artist and architectural critic John LouisPetitThe buttons below give access to blog posts relating to these two areas, and also to a miscellaneous set of blog posts on various historical issues.

The major output from the work are two multi-volume eBooks โ Kingswinford Manor and Parish; and โSt. Michael on Greenhill, Lichfield. A historyโ; and two substantial sets of web pages โ one giving details of my Family Tree, and one giving a very detailed presentation of burials, registers and memorial inscriptions in St. Michaelโs churchyard, including downloadable data spreadsheets. Both may be useful to Family historians.
Finally the buttons below link to downloadable copies of historical papers and articles, and to a number of video presentations.
